Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) is delighted to announce a prestigious student exchange opportunity under the Erasmus+ KA171 Mobility Programme with our partner institution, Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi (AKU) in Afyonkarahisar, Türkiye.
1. Eligibility
All applicants must be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree programme at KsTU.
Eligible Academic Areas:
Electric and Electronical Engineering
Business and Administration
Minimum CGPA: 3.00/5.00 for bachelor’s level and 3.50/5.00 for master’s level
Selection criteria will focus on academic merit, language proficiency, and suitability.
2. Course and Mobility Information

Duration: 2025-2026 Spring Semester (February 09, 2026 – June 21, 2026).
Successful nominees will receive financial support under the Erasmus+ grant:
Monthly Grant:€700 (Individual Support, calculated based on the exact number of days spent in Turkey).
Travel Contribution:€820 (Lump sum payment).
70% of the total grant will be paid to the student on the day of arrival.
The remaining 20% will be paid upon successful completion of at least 20 ECTS out of the required 30 ECTS course load.
Quota:Five (5) Students (bachelor’s and/or master’s level).
Note: Students are personally responsible for costs related to visas, residence permits, health insurance, books, and other personal spending.
3. Application Process and Requirements
Interested students must submit the following documents to the Office of the Dean for International Affairs and Institutional Linkages:
A formal Application Letter addressed to the Dean, IAIL.
Valid passport bio page copy
Copy of student’s ID card
English Proficiency Certificate.
Endorsed KsTU Academic Transcript/Records.
A Motivation Letter (outlining the benefits of the exchange).
Hard copies of an application must be submitted in person by the applicant to the Office of the Dean for International Affairs and Institutional Linkages and soft copies to sarfo.mensah@kstu.edu.gh for pre-nomination not later than 13:00 GMT on 21st November 2025.
NOTE: An application that has incomplete documents (both in hard and soft copies) and has not been submitted on or before the deadline shall NOT be considered.
